Flama

Univision’s digital destination for US-born Latino millennials.

From 2013-2014, Comediva consulted with Univision on the launch of a new digital brand for Latino millennials called Flama.

During this time, Comediva provided full-service digital strategy and creative consulting services, including brand strategy, programming and talent development, identifying aggregation targets and partnership opportunities, and developing pitches for content sponsorships, including The Bodega, a project which found a sponsor in Trojan Condoms.

Comediva also produced three original series for Flama: Drop the Mic with Becky G, Chachi’s Dance to Uforia, and Play It Forward.  Drop the Mic was even nominated for a CableFax Award for Best Online Series, alongside digital series from heavy hitters like Jerry Seinfeld and Ricky Gervais.

As part of Flama’s 2013 NewFronts presentation, Comediva also produced two original teaser videos for Flama. The first, a teaser trailer for Salseras, a scripted narrative series set in the world of competitive college salsa dancing.

The second was Piñata PSA, an example of Flama’s irreverent brand of sketch comedy.  The short PSA parody urged viewers to stop the violence, put down their sticks, and stop attacking piñatas.

As Flama continues to grow online, we’re pleased to have participated in its foundation, and to have helped shape yet another great content brand.
